PALACIO NACIONAL
In December of 2024, the Ars Musicae string quintet had the honor of being invited to perform at the Palacio Nacional de la Cultura in Guatemala City for the opening of an art exhibition by renowned Guatemalan painter Carlos Cazali. Once the official presidential palace, the Palacio is now a national cultural landmark, symbolically known as “Kilómetro Cero”— the heart of the country from which all distances are measured. Performing in this iconic space is comparable to playing at the White House in the United States.

PARROQUIA SAN MATEO APÓSTOL

In July 2024, Ars Musicae presented a regular concert at the Parroquia De San Mateo Apóstol in El Pajón, Guatemala City. All three ensembles—the youth string ensemble, the children’s choir, and the family chorus—performed individually and collaboratively. The event was a great success, and was followed by a relaxed celebration afterwards!
PALOS VERDES FUNDRAISER
Small Seed Donations and Ars Musicae Guatemala host regular fundraising concerts to support our programs and engage with donors. In 2022, a benefit concert was held in Palos Verdes, California, featuring live performances via Zoom by Ars Musicae students in Santa Catarina Pinula. The event also included solo piano works performed by world-renowned pianist—and founder of Ars Musicae—Darío Ntaca.
