Ars Musicae Guatemala
Ars Musicae Guatemala is a community arts initiative located on the outskirts of Santa Catarina Pinula. Founded and led by internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor Darío Alejandro Ntaca, this project is dedicated to bringing musical education to children who would otherwise have limited or no access to such opportunities. Rooted in El Sistema philosophy, Ars Musicae Guatemala strongly believes that music education can be a powerful catalyst for social transformation and human development. Ars Musicae is the fiscal beneficiary of Small Seed Donations.
Ensembles
Ars Musicae consists of three main groups: a youth string ensemble, a children’s choir, and a chorus for the parents and family members of its students. These ensembles perform both independently and collaboratively. Each group rehearses twice a week for two hours each session.
