New Programming Priorities
Private Lessons
Estimated Cost: $400/month
Private instruction is essential to the artistic development of young musicians, and also strengthens confidence, discipline, and commitment to the ensemble. To deepen our students’ learning, we plan to provide weekly private lessons for our eight string students. A monthly investment of $400 would fund weekly lessons for all eight students with a professional string teacher in Guatemala City, as well as their transportation from Santa Catarina Pinula.
Performance Trips
Estimated Cost:
-Antigua Guatemala: $400
-Quetzaltenango: $600
We plan to take our students on performance trips to culturally rich cities such as Antigua and Quetzaltenango, where they can learn about Guatemala’s history while building confidence performing in new spaces. These one-time investments would create lifelong memories, enhance students’ musical skills through real-world performance experience, and deepen their appreciation for their culture. These costs include meals, transportation, and lodging.
